A compass becomes a phone: the launch film

The film opens on a black wall compass in a grey studio. As you scroll, it comes apart — bezel, glass, gears — and the pieces reassemble into an iPhone running MARLOG. The metaphor is the product: the oldest instrument of the sea, rebuilt as software.

Technically, your scroll position scrubs through 120 still frames drawn to a canvas — the same technique Apple and Porsche use for product films. No video element, no autoplay: you drive the film, forwards and backwards.

The compass matters to us. The app’s AI is literally named Compass, and the needle in the film settles the way an answer should: quickly, and pointing somewhere useful.
